Implementing a Feed chunk
Step 1: Scroll down to the Section category and click to expand it.
Step 2: Click to expand the Section >> Column category.
Step 3: Click the green [+] button to add a new chunk.
Step 4: Click to expand the new chunk category (Section >> Column >> Chunk).
Step 5: From the Type dropdown menu, select Feed.
Step 6: From the Feed Type dropdown menu, choose from the following:
For the "IU Newsroom" choice, follow these instructions: To acquire the ID for an IU News feed visit this page: http://news.indiana.edu/rss/index.shtml
Here's the page we arrive at when we click on the Maurer School of Law link. Note the URL - The string of characters after the '=' and before the '&' is the ID for this news feed.
For the "IU Calendar" choice, follow these instructions: To acquire the ID for an IU Calendar feed visit this page: http://events.iu.edu/
In this example, we chose 'IU Bloomington' and the calendar for "Academic Calendar & Official Dates". The string of characters after '=' is the ID you need.
Below is an example of a feed for an IU Calendar. Please note, the External Link points to the full URL from which we extracted our ID. The Link Label is the text which displays for the link which would redirect the user to the IU Calendar page.
For the choices Profiles, News-Manual and Events-Manual and you will choose from feeds already setup in the '_feeds' folder (as shown in the example below).
